Asian American Civil Rights Tour
As an intentionally multi-ethnic and intergenerational church, we desire to lead and empower leaders to contribute and shape the conversation that the world has been having about race and reconciliation for decades. However, we want to cultivate a deeper understanding of the intersecting dynamics between the church, America and race. Most importantly, we will evaluate the intersections through the lens of the Gospel.
The aim of this tour is to help us see, through historical events, the devastating effect of racism’s power to control, destroy and distort everyone – people of color and white people. Specifically, we want to look at the historical intersecting dynamics within the Asian community regarding church, history and race.
This trip will take place July 18 – July 24, 2020. If you are interested in participating in this trip, please click “Apply Now” below to visit the trip page, where you can see more details and apply.
