Care

Fellowship Care comes alongside those within our church family in times of crisis or transition. The beauty of fellowship care is that it is comprised not only of our pastoral staff, but also of volunteers. Together, we provide for, encourage and shepherd those in need.

Chaplains

What: During times of need, crisis or transition, a Fellowship Chaplain is sent as an extension of the Pastoral team. Chaplains have high empathy and are able to navigate seasons of crisis. They have the ability to articulate compassion and mercy. This high capacity volunteer is called upon to make hospital visits, in-home visits and walk the road of recovery under the guidance of the Pastoral team.

When: As needed basis, potentially 2 visits a month.

Who: Empathetic, have strong social skills, are problem solvers, are resourceful, and are pleasant and gracious. They are pied pipers of fellowship, have a depth of character, exude humility and are sensitive to The Holy Spirit.

For more information on becoming a Chaplain, or to have a Chaplain visit you, please email Areen Fakhoury at areen.fakhoury@madeforfellowship.com.

Meals

What: During times of need, crisis or transition, fellowship meals come alongside those within our congregation to provide meals. A meal schedule is set up for the individual or family lasting 2 weeks averaging a total of 6 meals. A volunteer in this ministry will have the privilege of cooking & delivering or coordinating take out to be dropped off at the recipient’s home. When filling out the Meals Request Form, please keep in mind that we request information about your LifeGroup, Serve Teams etc, so that we can utilize all the ways to best support you. The answers to these questions are not qualifiers but areas that help us better care for you.

When: As needed basis, potentially 2 deliveries a month.

Who: 25 Volunteers a month: Empathetic, have strong social skills, are problem solvers, are resourceful, and are pleasant and gracious. They are pied pipers of fellowship, have a depth of character, exude humility and are sensitive to The Holy Spirit.

Kindness

What: We have a team of volunteers who respond to the needs of our congregation in tangible ways. A volunteer in this ministry is willing to make deliveries on behalf of Fellowship Monrovia. This makes our congregation feel small and intentional. A small bouquet of flowers, or a small gift is appropriate with a handwritten note on a fellowship notecard. Please nothing edible.

When: As needed basis, 2-5 deliveries a month.

Who: Empathetic, have strong social skills, are problem solvers, are resourceful, and are pleasant and gracious. They are pied pipers of fellowship, have a depth of character, exude humility and are sensitive to The Holy Spirit.
